I've been using ngrok for many years and I was a happy user. The speed and how easy it is to start, it's a no-brainer. Like most people, I paid for the subscription to get a permanent domain.

One day, I needed to add another domain. The platform asked me to pay an additional fee, jumping from $8 to $20+ a month. I mean, it's not expensive, but adding one more domain and I have to pay $12+ more? I don't even use that much bandwidth or features.

As an indie developer myself, I found this unacceptable. We already pay for hundreds of subscriptions, and we don't want things to get out of control. We want tools that are good and, more importantly, cheap.
